An "equivalency course" is a course at the high school level that will satisfy two graduation requirements. The |
credit amount will only be awarded once toward the total credit count, but the course will satisfy the graduation |
requirements in two different curriculum areas. |

|
|
Important points to remember: |
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
1. An equivalency course must be completed in its entirety in order for "equivalency credit" to be granted. |
2. An equivalency course may not satisfy a college admission requirement. Students and parents will need |
to check with individual colleges for clarification. |
|
|
|
|
3. No course will be worth more than the credit it has been assigned. |
|
|
