Dr. Carol Coe, former Puyallup School District teacher and current Social Studies Program Supervisor from OSPI, attended last year’s Veteran Assembly at Ballou Jr. High.  She returned this year with Stephanie Liden, Communications and Community Outreach for OSPI, to document the veteran posters and interview the seventh grade students as to the process they used to think like an historian and become an historian while researching their chosen veteran.  Dr. Coe is sharing this project as an example of showcasing learning, student empowerment, and engagement of deep project-based learning.
