Bruin Families,
As we conclude the 2022-23 school year, I wanted to take a moment to express my sincere appreciation for your partnership and support. It has been an incredible journey of growth, learning, and achievement for our students, and I am immensely proud of all our students’ accomplishments. Particularly, I want to acknowledge our 9th Grade classes growth. They will most definitely do well at Rogers High School and beyond.
By the end of this school year over 80% of our students will have passed all of their classes with a B grade (or higher) average. Nearly 100 students earned MOS certification in WORD. Nearly 60% of our students participated in a sport, music or club! ELA 8th graders completed over 80 hours of Peer Buddy reading with Firgrove students. Students brought in nearly 10,000 cans of food to stalk local food banks. Too often negative voices and experiences got unfortunate social media attention, while the vast majority of our students showed up with great attitudes and actions. We will continue to address tough issues and recognize all the good kids are doing.
Thank you for entrusting us with the education and well-being of your children. Thank you to all the parent/guardians who volunteered, gave feedback, and helped us tackle some challenges to improve Ballou. I wish you all a restful and rejuvenating summer, filled with joy and quality family time.
With warmest regards and BRUIN PRIDE,
Mrs.Kusche, Principal
